Come and celebrate Christmas with us at the DWIB Xmas Lunch on Friday 11th December 2026 at Newton Abbot Racecourse. Our Christmas Lunch is always one of our loveliest events of the year – a chance to put business to one side for a few hours, enjoy some fabulous food and spend time with the brilliant women who make the DWIB community what it is. Whether you’ve been part of Devon Women in Business for years or you’re joining us for the first time, you’ll be very welcome.

Hosted by Louise Jenner and Maureen Townsend, expect a relaxed afternoon filled with friendly faces, conversation, laughter and just the right amount of festive silliness. 🎅✨

At DWIB, networking has never been about collecting business cards. It’s about building genuine relationships with women who support, encourage and recommend one another — and Christmas is the perfect excuse to get together.

What’s on the Menu? 🎄

We’ll be sitting down together in the Winning Post Restaurant for a delicious two-course festive lunch.

Main Course: Roasted Turkey Parcel – with cranberry stuffing wrapped in smoked bacon, served with roast potatoes, pigs in blankets, seasonal vegetables and red wine gravy.

Or: Roasted Butternut Squash – stuffed with wild mushrooms in a garlic and cream sauce, served with roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables. (Vegetarian and gluten-free) A vegan option is available on request.

Dessert: Christmas Pudding – served with brandy sauce. (Vegetarian) Gluten-free and vegan options are also available.

To Finish: Tea or coffee with mini mince pies. ☕

Festive Fun 🎅

It wouldn’t be a DWIB Christmas Lunch without a little bit of nonsense! We’ll be bringing back the DWIB Christmas Quiz, so prepare to discover just how much completely unnecessary festive knowledge you’ve accumulated over the years. And there’ll be a prize for the Best Festive Attire. Christmas jumper? Sequins? Antlers? Head-to-toe tinsel? Go for it. 🦌 Or simply come as yourself – dressing up is completely optional!

Our Venue

We’re delighted to be celebrating at Newton Abbot Racecourse, a long-standing supporter of Devon Women in Business, a DWIB Platinum Member and sponsor of the Contribution to the Community Award at the Devon Women in Business Awards. We’ll be in the Winning Post Restaurant, with panoramic views across the racecourse and plenty of space to eat, chat and celebrate together.
