The DWIB Xmas Lunch is back for 2025 – and this year, we’re heading to the beautiful Newton Abbot Racecourse for a festive afternoon of connection, celebration and community.

As we come to the end of another fantastic year of women-only networking across Devon, this lunch is an opportunity to pause, reflect, and enjoy the season with fellow women in business. Whether you’ve been part of DWIB for years or you’re coming along for the very first time, you’ll be warmly welcomed by our hosts, Louise Jenner and Maureen Townsend. Expect friendly faces, good food, laughter, and of course, a sprinkling of Christmas magic.

What’s on the Menu?

Nothing says Christmas like sitting down together to enjoy a meal. We’ll be served a delicious 2-course festive menu, prepared by the talented chefs at the Winning Post Restaurant:

• Mains: Traditional Roast Turkey with all the trimmings, or a tasty Vegetable Nut Roast (V, Vg)
• Dessert: Classic Christmas Pudding with brandy sauce (V)
• Followed by: Coffee or Tea and Mince Pies

Festive Fun

We know our members love a touch of sparkle and silliness at Christmas, so we’re bringing back a few favourites:

• The DWIB Christmas Quiz – test your festive knowledge and see if you can take home the prize.
• Festive Attire Competition – whether it’s a Christmas jumper, sequins, or head-to-toe tinsel, we’ll be awarding a prize for the best festive look. (Don’t worry, dressing up is completely optional!)

About the Venue

We’re delighted to be hosting our Christmas Lunch at Newton Abbot Racecourse, one of Devon’s premier venues. Our setting for the day will be the Winning Post Restaurant, which combines delicious local food, carefully selected wines, and panoramic views over the racetrack. It’s the perfect backdrop for a relaxed afternoon of networking, celebration and festive cheer. Newton Abbot Racecourse is a Platinum member and sponsor of the the Contribution to the Community category at the DWIB Awards.
