The DWIB Awards were launched in 2021 by Louise Jenner and Maureen Frost and get bigger and better each year! \nCategories\nThere are 12 categories this year: \n\nStart-Up of the Year (female-led business) – Sponsored by Frankman Design and Marketing\, Torquay\nSmall Business of the Year (female-led business) – Sponsored by Dawes Accountants\, Newton Abbot\nSole Trader / Freelancer of the Year (female-led business) – Sponsored by Louise Jenner\, The Dream Job Coach\nEmployer of the Year (female-led business) – Sponsored by Margaret Oscar Employee Engagement\nInspirational Leader of the Year (female) – Sponsored by Mercure Hotel\, Paignton\nFemale Employee of the Year – Sponsored by TBC\nCustomer Service Excellence (female-led business) – Sponsored by Hoburne (Devon Bay)\, Paignton\nContribution to the Community (over and above normal business activity) – Sponsored by Howden Insurance\, Newton Abbot\nCommunity Group / Charity of the Year (run by a woman) – Sponsored by Santé Care at Home\, Milton Combe\nBest Supporting Act (male or female individual) – Sponsored by East Devon & Exeter Enterprise Zone\nFemale Apprentice of the Year – Sponsored by South Devon College\, Paignton\nEco-Friendly Business of the Year (female-led business) – Sponsored by Dartmoor Reach Alpaca and Glamping Farm\, Bovey Tracey\n\nWinners receive a trophy sponsored by Platinum Member\, Dawes Accountants\, a certificate and a ‘golden buzzer’ through to the finals of the West Country Women Awards 2025. \nThe Judges\nThe DWIB Awards are judged by Louise Jenner\, Maureen Frost and Emma Woodward in conjunction with the Category Sponsors. \nCharity\nThis year we will be holding a raffle in aid of Wellbeing in Action. Please let us know if you would like to donate a prize. Wellbeing in Action is a fantastic organisation led by Lindie Wadlan and Emma Warren. Wellbeing in Action won the Female-Led\, Charity / Community Group / Project of the Year 2023. \n \n\n\n\n\nEntertainment\nWe will be entertained again this year by Meghan Rae Music. Meghan is a Devon-based singer and has sung at the Devon Women in Business Awards since 2022. \n \nVenue\nWe are delighted to be able to hold this event at The Forge at Winslade Manor who are Platinum Members and our Event Sponsor. \nYou will be welcomed at The Forge with a glass of fizz\, a bottled beer or a sparkling elderflower on arrival.
